Area nursing homes ran the gamut last year for overall quality, according to the U.S. Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.
“Nursing homes vary in the quality of care and services they provide to their residents,” Medicare.govsays.
Basing its conclusions mostly on data from 2016, the agency gave nursing homes one to five stars. Five mean “much above average,” four mean “above average,” three mean “average,” two mean “below average,” and one means “much below average.”
Rating five stars were:
Peak Resources, 215 College St., Graham;
Twin Lakes Community Memory Care, 3701 Wade Coble Drive, Burlington; and
White Oak Manor of Burlington, 323 Baldwin Road, Burlington.
